Development on urban woodland on Isle of Wight
this is a forum made by a group called Save Our Newport Green Space (S.O.N.G.S.) it was set up by a group of residents who are concerned about the proposed development on the former dairy crest site

Hi
Welcome to our forum. We are a group of residents from the Newport and Carisbrooke areas of the Isle of Wight who are objecting to a planning application on the old Dairy Crest site. Much of this area has been unused for 30-50 years and has become a small urban woodland containing a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including many birds which are in serious decline throughout Britain. Slow worms and a Badger who has taken up residence. The site has a working eco-system which will be destroyed if this development is allowed to take place.
